Mission Statement
Bipartisan Disagreement combats interpersonal political polarization by promoting open-minded,
good-faith, and productive discussion to encourage a deeper understanding of all perspectives.
What We Do
Bipartisan Disagreement is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded at Northeastern University in 2020. It has grown into a network of student chapters at Northeastern University, Bridgewater State University, and Emory University School of Law.
The national organization supports locally organized chapters in advancing a shared mission: reducing interpersonal political polarization through open-minded, good-faith discussion. Local organizers choose topics and lead conversations suited to their campus communities.
Participants use a shared code of ethics to listen carefully, engage respectfully, and explore different perspectives. BD’s publication and podcast archives extend those conversations online.
